How do the ingredients in NITRO support the natural production of nitric oxide in humans?

There are two main pathways in which nitric oxide is produced naturally in the body:

  1. The first is via L-citrulline,  a non-essential amino acid found in some wholefoods. Once ingested, L-citrulline acts as an L-arginine precursor that is further converted to nitric oxide by a reaction catalyzed by NO synthase.
  2. The second is by consuming foods that contain high levels of nitrate (beetroot juice and noni fruit powders are two of the best sources of nitrates) which are converted to nitric oxide both in the stomach and also via certain bacteria in the oral cavity including the tongue. 

NITRO contains L-citrulline along with high nitrate beetroot and noni-juice powders, so that both pathways are utilised.

To maximize the opportunity to support nitric oxide production via the mouth and salivary glands, take small mouthfuls of the nitro formula (at the recommended daily dose) and swish the juice around your mouth a few times before swallowing (continue to swallow any saliva that is produced afterwards). This allows for maximum exposure of NITRO's ingredients to the bacteria present in the oral cavity which support the process. 

How to Take

Dosage (Adults): 10g (1 metric Tbsp) per day.

Doses per container: 30

Directions: 1 metric Tbsp in a glass of water morning or evening.

Caution: Store in a cool, dry place. Reseal cap immediately after each use. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Keep out of reach of children. Store below 25c. Pregnant or nursing - seek advice from a healthcare professional before consuming.

New Zealand Orders

New Zealand orders over NZ$100 are freight-free.

Order values under $100 incur a flat shipping fee country-wide of NZ$6.50 (no extra charge for Rural Delivery).

Depending on the time of day your order is placed, we strive to have your order delivered to you within 1- 3 working days. However, please note that there are times when the postal service is at capacity and delivery times may be extended. Rural delivery can also take 1-2 working days longer.

Australian Orders

Orders over NZ$150.00 qualify for free shipping.

Order values under $150 incur a flat shipping fee of $15. 

Expected delivery time is 3- 5 working days unless there are issues beyond our control. Orders are shipped via DHL.

International Orders

Middle East tracked NZ$45.00.

Rest of the world tracked NZ$35.00.

International orders are shipped via DHL. Expected delivery time is 5-10 working days for most destinations, however, it can be 10-14 working days for more remote locations. We also reserve the right to charge additional shipping fees depending on the weight, volume and delivery location for your order. We will contact you to confirm shipping costs before processing your order if this is the case.

International orders may attract local customs taxes or duties on arrival to your country. These taxes/duties are required to be paid by the purchaser and are not the responsibility of Matakana Superfoods. No refunds will be issued for orders where tax/duties remain unpaid by the purchaser. Please check with your local customs agency regarding the tax/duty likely to be charged prior to ordering.

Shipping Terms & Conditions

Matakana Superfoods is open 5 days a week, Mon-Fri. All orders placed over the weekend will be processed the next working day.

When you place an order you have the opportunity to state instructions for the courier to leave the parcel somewhere on your property. Please note that you do this at your own risk and there is no way to claim your goods should they not arrive, or are stolen.

Once your order has been processed and dispatched from our website we are unable to intercept the parcel, so please ensure the contents of your order are correct at purchase and that the correct address and delivery details have been included at checkout.

 

 

Cancellation, Return and Refund Policy

We hope that you are happy with your purchase but should you wish to return any item to us, we will be happy to refund or replace a product subject to the following conditions:

  1. We will provide a full refund or replacement (at your election) if the quality of goods delivered is unacceptable (we may request photographic proof). This is on the condition that you contact us within 24 hours of receiving the goods either by phone or by emailing orders@matakanasuperfoods.com. We recommend you check the contents of your parcel prior to signing the courier.
  2. Before returning any goods, the customer must contact Matakana Superfoods by phone or email (to be obtained from the website).
  3. We do not accept cancellations once your order has been handed to our courier for delivery.
  4. We do not provide refunds for change-of-mind returns.
  5. All eligible refund requests will be processed within 30 days.

  6. Subject to the terms above, we are happy to refund or replace any item requested within 20 days of placing your order.

  7. If you believe your order has been lost in transit, you must contact us within 20 days of placing your order to be eligible for a refund or replacement.
