How do they work?
You probably know that antioxidants help keep your skin and immune system in peak condition… but how does this happen?
Free radicals are unstable atoms that can damage cells, causing illness and aging through a process called oxidation. To become more stable they steal electrons from healthy protein, DNA and cell membranes. Although free radicals are produced naturally in the body, lifestyle factors can increase their production. These include exposure to toxic chemicals (air pollution, pesticides), smoking, alcohol and fried food.
Antioxidants are compounds that donate their electrons to free radicals balancing their unstable cellular structure… preventing them from causing harm to our bodies!

Its powerful disease-fighting compounds (anthocyanins) and other natural bio-actives found in the berry – are being studied for their ability to support the body’s natural defences against disease.
