Cacao butter has also traditionally been used as a body moisturiser due to its easy absorption into the skin. It is a great source of oleic acid, the same healthy fat found in olive oil.

Our organic cacao products are sourced from sustainable, organic co-op farms located in Peru. All farms involved in the co-op are part of a Development and Sustainability Program which involves giving incentives to farmers to produce organic and sustainable cacao products. The farmers undergo practical training and their environmental impact and sustainable growing practices are continually reviewed to ensure all standards are being met. Q: Would cacao butter be of benefit for someone who has high cholesterol? A: There is no cholesterol in cacao butter so for instance in baking it would be a better option than butter. Cholesterol is only found in animal products such as fish, meat, chicken, dairy etc.
