About

Skin is the organ that contains the most hyaluronic acid in the body, however, levels decline as we age, with a 75-year-old having only 25% of what they had at 19 years of age.

When orally ingested, high molecular weight hyaluronic acid is distributed to all layers of the skin, connective tissue, organs, and joints supporting moisture/lubrication and structural integrity throughout the body.

Hyaluronic acid serums brought into question.

A 2020 double-blind human study showed topical skin serums containing hyaluronic acid performed no better than placebo at achieving visible improvement in the skin.

This means to be most effective, hyaluronic acid needs to be taken orally for it to be properly distributed throughout the skin layers and the rest of the body.

It's important that the hyaluronic acid ingested is of a high molecular weight which more closely matches the natural hyaluronic acid in the human body.

Low molecular weight hyaluronic acid often used in topical serums has been shown to promote inflammation in the body when ingested and should be avoided in oral supplements.

High molecular weight hyaluronic acid supports healthy inflammatory responses and normal cell homeostasis (balance).

Matakana Health's Hyaluronic acid has a high molecular weight of 2.3 million Dalton.

How to Take

Dosage (Adults): 1 capsule.

Directions: Take 1 capsule per day with or without food.

Caution: Store in a cool, dry place or refrigerate after opening. Reseal cap immediately after each use. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Keep out of reach of children. Store below 25oC. Pregnant or nursing - seek advice from a healthcare professional before consuming.

Brilliant product!

We have only been taking the capsules for 10 days but already noticing a difference - my husband has very dry skin and is regularly at physio for his back but both have greatly improved so we'll definitely continue to take them!

New Zealand Orders

New Zealand orders over NZ$100 are freight-free.

Order values under $100 incur a flat shipping fee country-wide of NZ$6.50 (no extra charge for Rural Delivery).

Depending on the time of day your order is placed, we strive to have your order delivered to you within 1- 3 working days. However, please note that there are times when the postal service is at capacity and delivery times may be extended. Rural delivery can also take 1-2 working days longer.

Australian Orders

Orders over NZ$150.00 qualify for free shipping.

Order values under $150 incur a flat shipping fee of $15. 

Expected delivery time is 3- 5 working days unless there are issues beyond our control. Orders are shipped via DHL.

International Orders

Middle East tracked NZ$45.00.

Rest of the world tracked NZ$35.00.

International orders are shipped via DHL. Expected delivery time is 5-10 working days for most destinations, however, it can be 10-14 working days for more remote locations. We also reserve the right to charge additional shipping fees depending on the weight, volume and delivery location for your order. We will contact you to confirm shipping costs before processing your order if this is the case.

International orders may attract local customs taxes or duties on arrival to your country. These taxes/duties are required to be paid by the purchaser and are not the responsibility of Matakana Superfoods. No refunds will be issued for orders where tax/duties remain unpaid by the purchaser. Please check with your local customs agency regarding the tax/duty likely to be charged prior to ordering.

Shipping Terms & Conditions

Matakana Superfoods is open 5 days a week, Mon-Fri. All orders placed over the weekend will be processed the next working day.

When you place an order you have the opportunity to state instructions for the courier to leave the parcel somewhere on your property. Please note that you do this at your own risk and there is no way to claim your goods should they not arrive, or are stolen.

Once your order has been processed and dispatched from our website we are unable to intercept the parcel, so please ensure the contents of your order are correct at purchase and that the correct address and delivery details have been included at checkout.

 

 

Cancellation, Return and Refund Policy

We hope that you are happy with your purchase but should you wish to return any item to us, we will be happy to refund or replace a product subject to the following conditions:

  1. We will provide a full refund or replacement (at your election) if the quality of goods delivered is unacceptable (we may request photographic proof). This is on the condition that you contact us within 24 hours of receiving the goods either by phone or by emailing orders@matakanasuperfoods.com.
