It's 100% natural, with no bleaching, deodorising, or emulsifying agents used during its manufacturing process.
It has a delicious, coco-nutty taste and can be added to a variety of sweet and savoury dishes.
Sourced from organic coconut palm trees grown in remote co-op farms in the Philippines, the coconuts are de-shelled, washed and inspected by hand before being blanched and dried at low temperatures before being ground into a delectable, semi-smooth butter.

What does the AsureQuality “organic” mark mean?
AsureQuality is New Zealand's most recognised name in food assurance and certification, and is backed by the reputation of being a New Zealand government-owned business.
When you see the AsureQuality “certified organic” mark on a product label, it means the producer has been independently audited and verified against strict organic standards. Specifically, it guarantees that:
• No synthetic pesticides, fertilisers, or GMOs have been used. It also covers the implementation of sustainable growing practices and, for animal products, that animals are raised humanely, fed only organic feed, and given no synthetic hormones or antibiotics.
• Independent verification has taken place - producers are independently verified and certified, not simply self-declared as organic.
• Full supply chain integrity is maintained - from the farm or orchard through to the factory, solely organic inputs and processes have been used. Every organic producer is audited in person every year.
• Internationally recognised standards are met - the AsureQuality Organic Standard is MPI and IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agricultural Movements) accredited, and based on EU Regulations as well as the Australian National Standard, giving certified products access to organic markets worldwide.
I have used another brand which I found really creamy, but awkward to mix. Thought I would try this brand and found it mixed ok, but was a bit too gritty for me and was more fibrous and darker in colour.

We also reserve the right to charge additional shipping fees depending on the weight, volume and delivery location for your order. UK and International orders may attract local customs taxes or duties on arrival to your country. These taxes/duties are required to be paid by the purchaser and are not the responsibility of Matakana Superfoods. No refunds will be issued for orders where tax/duties remain unpaid by the purchaser. Please check with your local customs agency regarding the tax/duty likely to be charged prior to ordering.
Shipping Terms & Conditions
Matakana Superfoods is open 5 days a week, Mon-Fri. All orders placed over the weekend will be processed the next working day.
When you place an order you have the opportunity to state instructions for the courier to leave the parcel somewhere on your property. Please note that you do this at your own risk and there is no way to claim your goods should they not arrive, or are stolen.
Once your order has been processed and dispatched from our website we are unable to intercept the parcel, so please ensure the contents of your order are correct at purchase and that the correct address and delivery details have been included at checkout.
Cancellation, Return and Refund Policy
We hope that you are happy with your purchase but should you wish to return any item to us, we will be happy to refund or replace a product subject to the following conditions:
We will provide a full refund or replacement (at your election) if the quality of goods delivered is unacceptable (we may request photographic proof).
